What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of induced relaxation and focused concentration in which deeper parts of the subconscious mind become more accessible. It is essentially an induced ‘trance-like’ or meditative state of mind. We experience this state in our everyday lives when we become immersed in a movie, when daydreaming, meditating or just before we fall asleep.
During hypnosis, your conscious mind is always aware; it is merely in a deeply relaxed state.
Hypnotherapy utilises hypnosis for the purpose of supporting and facilitating therapeutic processes, change and healing.

Hypnotherapy & you
Just imagine what life would be like if you could tap into your subconscious mind and release whatever is holding you back in life. What would it be like to truly understand who you are and fulfil your potential by living your life from a place of authenticity and peace?
The storehouse of your subconscious memory is where the answers to these questions lie.
Many of our limiting behaviours and issues stem from experiences in our formative years, up to the age of around ten. It is during these years that we form our sense of self-identity along with core beliefs, feelings, urges, habits and behaviours.
The subconscious mind is where all the long-held feelings, thoughts, beliefs, urges and memories that are outside our conscious awareness, are stored. The subconscious mind influences and drives 90 – 95% of our behaviour.
The unconscious mind on the other hand, holds all of our memories and past experiences, both those that have been repressed through trauma and those that are consciously forgotten and no longer important to us.
Hypnotherapy offers a powerful pathway to access the subconscious and deeper unconscious part of our mind, allowing you to explore and gain insight to create permanent healing.
Hypnotherapy is actually one of the few modalities that allows you to self explore and be empowered in your own healing by creating subconscious shifts in the form of new responses, beliefs, thoughts, attitudes, behaviours or feelings which in turn create positive change and a heightened sense of wellbeing.

By opening a space for you to connect to your own inner-resources and wisdom, this therapy provides the framework for you to become your own self-healer. A truly transformational and empowering experience.
Typically most people achieve the results they seek within 1 to 3 sessions
Please note:
A hypnotherapist facilitates change by utilising hypnotic suggestion and holding space for the client to help connect them to their own inner-resources for the purpose of healing. The therapist cannot control or force the client to change or do anything they do not want to do or are not ready to do. The conscious and subconscious parts of the mind are very powerful. Results can vary and are dependant on the mindset of the client and their desire, readiness and commitment to change. If you experience doubt or concerns during or immediately after your session you should raise these with your hypnotherapist so they can tailor their approach, offer guidance or refer you to other services that maybe more suited to you and your needs.
